Champions League Player of the Week prediction
Champions League is back again and the second leg of the round of 16 matches will be played. Each team will have a tremendous task whether or not the first leg scoreline favours them. With that said, the player of the match day will be Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo has often been criticised for fading into the shadows at the wrong times, however, people often forget that when he shows up for Real Madrid, he really shows up. Since Real Madrid is virtually out of the title race, the only way to save their season is to build on ‘La Decima’. In other words, Ronaldo and co need to win the Champions League trophy.
While the scoreline favours them they cannot be too complacent. With the team being plagued by injury Ronaldo will have to carry the team and he will. Ronaldo has scored four goals in five UCL matches against Roma. In addition to that he has scored 89 goals in the competition. Expect him to add to his goal tally.
