Man shot dead on North-South Highway
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – The St Catherine Major Investigation Team has launched a top-level probe into the shooting death of an employee of the North-South leg of Highway 2000 in the Linstead area of the highway earlier this morning.
Dead is Christopher Marshall otherwise called “Cell Block”, team leader/labourer of Wakefield district, Savannah, Linstead in St Catherine.
Reports are that about 12:35 am, Marshall was working with a team of over 20 men who were constructing a stone wall on a section of the highway. He was reportedly sitting on a concrete median on the roadway when several explosions were heard. It was subsequently discovered that Marshall had several gunshot wounds to the upper body. He was assisted to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
