FORMER Uprising Roots member, Sea B was recently in the island promoting his album Journey Through Space and Time.

The Florida-based singer told the Jamaica Observer that, although the 13-track album was first released in June 2015, he saw the need to get the set promoted in Jamaica.

“The album is still not known in Jamaica the way I would want it to, so, I took the time to promote it locally. I am not in any rush to release another project as this is still fresh, so I am pushing it the best way I know how. I also did a music video for the single

Walk With You and Mount Zion,” he said.

Sea B said Walk With You engages those of all ages while sticking to the roots and foundation of reggae and lovers rock.

“I always admire a woman’s strength. The song was inspired by a woman caregiver in Gordon Town who would wash her laundry at a river. While observing the mother figure, I noticed a younger woman with a similar demeanour that also piqued my interest. I approached the second woman and asked: ‘Can I walk with you? Can I talk with you and get to know you better?’” he said.

Also included in the track listings are songs like Truth is, Children, Make Me Happy and Something’s Got to Give.

Journey Through Space and Time was co-produced by Sea B and Ronnie Moses. It is being distributed by Zojak World Wide.

Sea B, given name Barry Marrah, spent his earlier years in Rollington Town in Kingston, before migrating to Florida in 1974.

After parting ways with Uprisng Roots, Sea B took a hiatus from the industry, but returned in 2006 with the with the single Oh Jah from his debut album Yes…It’s True.
