Davies to be sworn in today
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Former minister of transport, works and housing, Dr Omar Davies is expected to be sworn in when the House of Representatives meets this afternoon.
Dr Davies missed the swearing in of his colleagues on March 10 due to his illness, which followed the February 25 general election.
Noel Sloley, the eighth Opposition senator was sworn in this morning prior to Governor General Sir Patrick Allen’s presentation of the Throne Speech at Gordon House.
Opposition MP Derrick Kellier was sworn in on March 29, after missing the earlier meeting due to a magisterial recount in his Southern St James constituency.
