Bulby goes international
COLIN ‘Bulby’ York established himself as an audio engineer working on some of the biggest hit songs out of Jamaica in the last 20 years. He is determined to achieve similar success as a solo producer.
Last Thursday, VP Records staged a listening party in New York at The Delancey for
Epic & Ting, York’s first album.
A packed house of music industry insiders (record company executives, journalists, disc jockeys) attended the event.
Epic & Ting will be officially released in May, but its lead singleMoola, a dancehall/electronica song by Cherine, is already out.
York, 43, has great expectations for the song which is reportedly picking up steam in Brazil and Colombia.
“Every producer wants a big hit song an’ I’m hoping for at least two from this album, ’cause it have dat international sound,” he told

Anything Goes, a collaboration between Beres Hammond and Bounty Killer, is another song from Epic & Ting that has been released.
The 12-track set also includes
All Night Long by Maxi Priest and Brigadier Jerry; andWho Shall I Fear, a digital combination featuring dancehall icon Tenor Saw and Assassin.
