Spice collaborates with Kid Ink and Jeremih on new track
As awesome as we’ve always known Caribbean music to be, it seems the rest of the world is just catching on.
The latest international artistes to jump on the dancehall trend include hip hop artistes Kid Ink and Jeremih, as the two collaborated on a track called Nasty that featured Jamaica’s very own Spice.
A few days ago the track was uploaded to YouTube and since then Kid Ink has been busy promoting the single via his Twitter account, saying that he’s “hella excited”. Though it’s not the lengthiest feature (as Spice merely repeats one line a few times) this is great exposure for her.
The dancehall songstress, true to her style and more hardcore dancehall, doesn’t mince words or water it down, singing, ” Ah suh yuh like it when mi gwaan bad and get nasty…”. And despite coming in within the final minute of the 3:34 track we can’t help but think she brought a certain something special to the song.
Nasty is currently number 8 on iTunes’ Hot Tracks list and is poised to climb higher.
