Costa Rica will find it hard to advance. Though many will remember their success at the 2014 World Cup, the CONCACAF team is missing their #1, Keylor Navas, due to injuries and probably won’t advance. Therefore USA and Colombia are expected to go through.
Even though Brazil is missing Neymar Jr and have many players with injuries, they are still the tournament favourites of many, along with Argentina and are expected to advance. Ecuador is expected to follow but don’t be surprised if Peru does instead.
This is one of the most difficult groups. On paper it would appear that the Gold Cup winners, Mexico and a strong Uruguayan team will power through to the next round. However Luis Suarez is expected to miss the group stages and Uruguay hasn’t exactly been great without him. The Jamaican team is strong enough to produce an upset and advance.
The last Copa América finalists Argentina and Chile are the overwhelming favourites to advance.
