A Matter Of ‘Style’
Year after year, the Saint International StyleWeek Jamaica runway becomes more and more the place to spot home-grown international sensations at top-billed events, namely, City Style at The Gallery: Where Fashion Meets Art at the National Gallery of Jamaica, two Fridays ago, which was followed by the International Mecca of Style presentation, the following evening on the roof of the Jamaica Pegasus hotel, and then come Sunday, the somewhat public-access takeover of Knutsford Boulevard for the annual Fashion Block finale. Then there is the overseas contingent of scouts, agents, casting directors, and journalists, who keep a close eye and ear on activities of model maker Deiwght Peters, and can you blame them? The next Tami Williams, Kai Newman, Naki Depass, Wayne Booth, and Barbra-Lee Grant could be right there in their midst.
