A part of history
Simon Costa, great, great-grandson of Archbishop Enos Nuttall, the fifth Bishop of Jamaica and the first Archbishop of the West Indies, reflects on a giant photograph of his ancestor who led the Anglican Church for a record 36 years from 1880 until his death in 1916. Costa was guest of the Anglican Church in Jamaica for celebrations surrounding the centenary of the death of Nuttall.
Costa cuts the ribbon to officially unveil a section of the exhibition at the National Library in downtown Kingston, titled ‘Enos Nuttall – Institution Builder’. Archbishop Enos Nuttall played a leading role in the establishment of several educational institutions, including the Mico Training College (now The Mico University College) and the Shortwood Training College, which he served as chairman of the board for 34 years and 31 years, respectively.javascript:void(0);
