Popcaan tops local, Spice feature tops international

#Hottraxx

Local List1. Ova Dweet – PopcaanOva Dweet. The song, produced by Notnice records on the Ova Dweet riddim is the first of many summer smash singles that Popcaan is expected to put out for summer ’16.2. Fever – Vybz Kartel

In the number one spot this week is the Unruly boss Popcaan with

It would not be a top ten dancehall list without Kartel and after what seemed like a never ending pause on the release of new music the self-proclaimed Worl Boss floors everybody like no one else by releasing the eight-minute music video for Fever. The man is behind bars and his career is still booming when some artistes still ‘cyan buss’… smh sad.

3. Formula – Alkaline

In third place this week is Alkaline with Formula. The song is one of many summer singles that have been released that are sure to be ‘must plays’ at parties for the summer and now that this visa mess has been clarified, we’re sure we’ll be seeing Alkaline going on tour very soon.

4. Indicator – Spice

Unless you’ve been living under a rock It’s become abundantly clear that Spice is the top female artiste in dancehall at the moment. With a string of sold out performances during her last tour and hits like Indicator playing at every party, it’s safe to say that Spice is pretty untouchable right now.

5. Bruk Off Yuh Back – Konshens

No stranger to Hottraxx and friend to teenAGE Konshens rounds out our top five this week with his recent single Bruk Off Yuh Back.6. Breadfruit – Chi Ching Ching7. Big Bumpa – Tifa

8. Feel Good – Popcaan

9. I’ll Take You There – Vybz Kartel

10.  Coolest Summer – Dexta Daps ft Ding Dong

International List1.     Nasty – Kid Ink ft Jeremih & Spice

In the top spot for international songs this week is Kid Ink, Jeremih and Spice with Nasty. Kid Ink joins an ever-growing list of international artistes including Rihanna and Drake to have decided to add a little Jamaican flavour to their craft. And what better way to do that than to bring dancehall Princess Spice. Big up Kid Ink and kudos to Spice for holding it hold down both locally and internationally.

2. Needed Me – Rihanna

In second spot this week is Rihanna with Needed Me. Rih Rih is currently on her ANTI world tour, however, the 28-y-o still finds time to hit the beach and flaunt her coveted bikini body… proving once again that Caribbean girls do it better.

3. Pop Style – Drake

Now if you’re like me, you’re just waiting for the day that Drake and Rihanna finally get together for good, and apparently the universe wants it too as One Dance is set to match Rihanna’s UK Chart record, spending its eighth week at number one. The record is currently held by Rihanna with Umbrella, which spent 10 weeks at number one.4. All The Way Up (Remix) – Fat Joe, Remy Ma, French Montana, Jay Z

Leave to Jay Z to do what he does best: hop on the remix for hot track and make it even better, landing the remix at the number four spot on the Hottraxx countdown this week.5. Kill ‘Em With Kindness – Selena Gomez

Rounding out the top five for international songs this week is Selena Gomez with Kill ‘Em With Kindness. The music video for the single was released on Monday and showcases the popstar’s effortless beauty and new found sex appeal.6. One Dance – Drake

7. Wake Up – Fetty Wap

8. For Free – DJ Khaled ft Drake

9. Controlla – Drake ft Popcaan

10. Work From Home – Fifth Harmony
