Past winners of the Jamaica Derby
Kenneth Mattis is the only person to win the Derby as a jockey and as a trainer. Mattis rode his first Derby winner in 1961 piloting Princess Royal to victory. His first win as a trainer came in 1981 when Royal Dad won the Triple Crown.<strong></strong>
