Popcaan new single on top; Calvin Harris making a breakup song?

#Hottraxx

Local List1.      Good Body Gyal Dem – Popcaan

Back in the number one spot with a new single this week is Popcaan with Good Body Gyal Dem. Now in case you didn’t hear the Unruly boss won this year’s Red Bull Culture Clash at the O2 arena in London. The deejay sealed Taylor Gang’s and more specifically Wiz Khalifa’s fate with a dub of Drake’s hit single One Dance. Popcaan formed part of Mixpak which represented dancehall and reggae.2.      Indicator – Spice

In the second spot this week is Spice with her single Indicator. The long awaited music video for the single has finally dropped and it is everything we expected it to be, fast cars, sexy girls, and good music you can’t go wrong.3.      Fever – Vybz Kartel

Slipping into third is Kartel with Fever. Vybz’s new album King of the Dancehall did not make it into the top ten on the Billboard Reggae album chart. However, the album, produced by Linton ‘TJ’ White, has been doing very well thus far since its release on June 10, and it peaked at No.1 on the iTunes Reggae chart as well.4.      Formula – Alkaline

Number four this week is Formula by Alkaline. Since we’re talking about albums it’s only fair to mention that Alkaline’s album, which is on the Billboard Top Ten reggae chart, is making steady movement up the chart moving from ninth to seventh place.5.      Ova Dweet – Popcaan

Rounding out the top five this week is the man that started it all Popcaan with his hit Ova Dweet.6.      Big Bumpa – TifaInternational List1.      All In My Head (Flex) – Fifth Harmony ft Fetty Wap

7.      Bruk Off Yuh Back – Konshens

8.      Coolest Summer – Dexta Daps ft Ding Dong

9.      Breadfruit – Chi Ching Ching

10.    I’ll Take You There – Vybz Kartel

In first place for the international list is girl group Fifth Harmony and Fetty Wap with All In My Head. The new summer single has a little Caribbean spice in it giving the song a great vibe for the season, the group is currently on their 7/27 Tour being headlined by rapper Jake Miller who is set to perform new songs from his EP OVERNIGHT, which is set to for release on August 19.2.      Sledgehammer – Rihanna

Pop Princess Rihanna once again graces our list this week with her new interstellar track Sledgehammer. The song is set to be a part of the sound track for Star Trek Beyond, due to be in theatres July 22. Many are speculating that this may be the single to win Rihanna her first Oscar nomination.3.      Sorry – Beyonce

In the third spot this week is Queen Bey, with Sorry. Now one person who isn’t sorry is Miss Tina Knowles AKA Beyonce’s Mama, who defended her daughter who had to leave this year’s BET awards early, after her show stopping performance of Freedom with Kendrick Lamar, forcing Miss Tina to have to accept the award on behalf of her busy busy Bey. Now that’s a good Mom if you ask me.4.      This Is What You Came For – Calvin Harris ft Rihanna

In fourth place this week is EDM master Calvin Harris and Bajan beauty Rihanna with This Is What You Came For. So Calvin was once half of the hottest power couple in the music industry, before he and Taylor Swift (more Taylor than Calvin) called it quits. but he is taking a cue from his hit-making ex as Calvin is reportedly already working on a breakup song for his new album and rumour has it that Kanye might be involved.5.      Company – Justin Bieber

Rounding out the top five this week is Justin Bieber, with his new single Company, and the Biebs definitely has some new company as he joins the long list of great performers to have fallen on stage during a performance. Justin joins the likes of: Sean “Diddy” Combs, Selena Gomez, Iggy Azalea, Harry Styles and Taylor Swift.6.      Lay You Down Easy – Magic ft Sean Paul

7.      Look Alive – Rae Sremmurd

8.      One Dance  -Drake

9.      Nothing Promised – Rihanna

10.  Kill ’em With Kindness – Selena Gomez
