KINGSTON, Jamaica — The in-form Javon Francis clocked an easy 45.26seconds to lead the finalists from the men’s 400m semi-finals on day three of the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA)/Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL) National Senior Championships at the National Stadium on Saturday.

Francis, the 2013 World Championships relay silver medallist is likely to face challenge in what will be an interesting final scheduled for 6:10 pm on Sunday evening.

The former Calabar star won semi-final three ahead of Peter Matthews (45.36s) of Racers Track Club.

Former St Jago standout Nathon Allen showed that he will be dangerous, as he quietly came down off the curve from lane three to easily win semi-final one in 45.47 seconds. Jonia McDonald (45.61s) of MVP Track Club was second, while Calabar’s young prodigy Christopher Taylor was third in 45.68s and advanced with one of the fastest times.

Fitzroy Dunkley (45.31s) of Louisiana State University edged national record holder Rusheen McDonald (45.32s) of MVP Track Club on the line to win semi-final two, with Javere Bell (45.51s) of Cameron Blazers also advancing with one of the fastest times.
