Halledeen steals spotlight with three winners at Caymanas Park
In-form rider Robert Halledeen stole the spotlight by riding three winners to highlight a well-supported nine-race programme at Caymanas Park yesterday.
Halledeen’s well-deserved winners included the Lawrence Freemantle-trained Arizona Gold, who came with a strong run in deep stretch to land the Henry George Harrison Sr Memorial Cup feature over 1,300 metres.
Owned by Lloyd Salmon, Arizona Gold won by one-and-three-quarter lengths ahead of King Within (Oneil Beckford up) in second place and Crucial Valor, under Bebeto Harvey, another five lengths behind in third, with Vicious Look, the mount of Aaron Chatrie, in fourth.
The winning time for the Restricted Allowance event for native-bred four-year-olds and upward non-winners of two was a decent 1:22:3 minutes.
Halledeen’s other winners were Fiftyonestorm for trainer Marlon Anderson in the second race and Sound Of Miracle for owner and trainer Steadman Curtis in the fourth race.
“To be successful you have to work hard. I have been putting in the work, so I am very much happy that I can show something for my hard work by winning three races,” Halledeen told the Jamaica Observer.
Racing continues on Saturday.
