U-17 Boyz tame Guyana 4-1 in CFU play-offs
ST THOMAS, US Virgin Islands — Jamaica’s Under-17 Reggae Boyz brushed aside Guyana 4-1 in their Group Four Caribeean Football Union (CFU) World Cup qualifying tournament match at the Lionel Roberts Stadium here on Friday.
The Young Boyz were led by a brace from Raewin Senior in the 61st and 72nd minutes, with other efforts coming from Jamoi Topey (16th minute) and Kaheem Parris (64th).
Guyana’s consolation goal was scored by Roberto Sewel-Case in the 31st minute.
Jamaica will next face Antigua and Barbuda on Sunday, before ending their campaign against hosts US Virgin Islands on Tuesday.
Jamaica are in the first phase of a qualification process, with the ultimate goal of making the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in India next summer.
