Alkaline, Popcaan

#Hottraxx

Local List

1. We Still A Win (World Cup) — Popcaan

Popcaan has the local number one spot in a choke hold with

We Still a Win. Some are saying that this is a diss to Mavado’s Which League, but in any event there can be no doubt that Poppy is winning generally as his alliance with rapper Drake gains him more and more exposure internationally. Everything the Unruly boss says seems to become slang and the newest one is “Dem deeven know that”, which he debuted in a viral video from OVO Fest 2016.

2. Block And Delete —  Alkaline

Alkaline holds the number two spot with this one. He’s basically saying that if a girl is trying to ‘style’ him, is a straight block and delete. Stand out line: “Lose mi number you can keep di memories wid yuh”

3. Money Girls and Fun — Mavado

In this song Mavado speaks about how he’s tired of badmind, he’s only paying attention to money, girls and fun. Stand out line: “Live your life before your life done”

4. Farewell — Alkaline & Mavado

Two of the big three in dancehall right now (along with Popcaan) collab on a hot track. This collab has Alkaline and Mavado singing about a very relatable topic, fake friends.  They’re saying farewell to the fake. Stand out line: “Stop tax mi like a Andrew.”

5. Feel Good — Popcaan

This song really does make you feel good. It’s a nice, slow song. Released five months ago, but just now getting some attention, the standout line from this track is:  “She seh me sweeter than a soulja button.”

6. Just Let Me Go — Alkaline

7. Formula — Alkaline

8. Ova Dweet — Popcaan

9. Training Wheel — Vybz Kartel

10.  LOL — RDX

Alkaline is doing great this week with not one, but four songs on this weeks list.

International List

1. Cold Water — Major Lazor (feat. Justin Bieber & MØ)

JB and Major Lazor are chillin’ in the number one spot with their new song,

Cold Water. The Biebs went viral yesterday with an Instagram post showing himself on FaceTime with Kanye West, captioned “What up Taylor Swift”. Justin seems to be #TeamKanye in the fallout between the two celebrities of Kanye’s song

Famous.

2. For Free — DJ Khaled ft Drake

These two always know how to make a hit.

For Free sits at number two on this week’s list. According to Billboard DJ Khaled’s

Major Key is set to dethrone Drake’s Views for number one on the charts.

3. Timmy Turner — Desiigner

This song had a teaser about a month ago and now it’s finally out. Desiigner sings about what seems to be one of our favourite cartoon stars( Timmy Turner) from our childhood. The stand out line for this song, even though it was difficult to find because he sings in cursive (shoutout to the Twitter user who came up with that): “To kill everybody walkin, you know that his soul in the furnace”

4. Luv —  Tory LanezWhen you listen to this song, it sounds familiar, and brings a feeling of nostalgia. Know why? Because Tory says that the song

Luv —  Tory Lanez

Everyone Falls In Love Sometime by Devonte & Tanto Metro, which was released in 2003, was his inspiration. The song is also sampled on the track.

5. No Shopping — French Montana

ft Drake

French Montana and Drake have copped the number five spot on our list. No Shopping gives Drake his second feature on this week’s list. Stand out line: “I’m not a one hit wonder they know all my stuff”

6. Body Say — Demi Lovato

7.

One Dance — Drake

8. I Got the Keys — DJ Khaled

ft Jay Z, Future

9. Heathens — 21 Pilots

10. Sucker for Pain

—

Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa & Imagine Dragons w/ Logic & Ty Dolla $ign ft X Ambassadors
