Accounting agent on lottery scam charges faces court today

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A 24-year-old accounting agent on lottery scam charges is set to appear in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court today.

The accused is identified as Lance Donalds of a Spanish Town address in St Catherine.

Donalds was reportedly held last Thursday after a security and safety manager searched the knapsack he was carrying and found documents containing what appeared to be credit card details and identity information of United States residents.

The police were informed and Donalds was charged with breaches of the Law Reform (Fraudulent Transactions) (Special Provisions) Act, 2013.
