KINGSTON, Jamaica – Haile Selassie, under the guidance of veteran coach Geoffrey Maxwell, continued their rich vein of form in Group D, when they edged Meadowbrook High 3-2 to register their fourth-straight victory in the Inter-secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA)/FLOW Manning Cup competition at Michigan Avenue field on Monday.

Ricardo Phipps (10th), Meshach Trupaire (22nd) and Renaldo Lemon (36th) gave Haile Selassie a comfortable lead. However, Navardo Thomas (45+3) and Demar Robinson (90+3) pulled it back for Meadowbrook.

The Payne Avenue-based team continue to chart the course with 12 points, four ahead of St Catherine High who played out a 1-1 scoreline with Jonathan Grant in the St Catherine derby.

Over in Group F, Wolmer’s Boys also made it four straight, with a comfortable 4-0 whipping of Jose Marti Technical at Stadium East field.

The Vassel Reynolds-coached team maintained their position atop the six-team standings on 12 points, three ahead of Camperdown who clipped Kingston Technical 1-0. Dunoon Technical registered a second-consecutive victory with a 2-1 win over Edith Dalton James in the other group game at Rockfort Football Club.
