Parish Council elders honoured
Mayor of Mandeville Brenda Ramsay and former Mayor Desmond Harrison were recently given awards by the Association of Local Government Authorities of Jamaica for their years of service to local governance.
Ramsay, who is also a People’s National Party Councillor for the Bellefield Division in Manchester Central, was recognised for 18 years of service, while Harrison, who is a Jamaica Labour Party Councillor in the Christiana Division, Manchester North Eastern, was recognised for 26 years.
At the September 8 monthly meeting of the Manchester Parish Council, Ramsay and Harrison took turns to present and receive awards.
