Champions League player of the week prediction – Matchday 2

Champions League football is back again with Matchday two and all eyes are on Islam Slimani. Slimani and Leicester City will face Champions League veterans Porto. Even though Leicester City are new to Champions League Islam Slimani is not and he has quite a record with Porto. 

At Sporting Lisbon, Slimani netted five goals in three matches against “The Dragons”. This gave him the nickname “dragon slayer”. Leicester City definitely need a ‘dragon slayer’ to continue their early Champions League success. Hopefully a couple Slimani goals can inspire the Foxes, especially after their devastating 4-1 defeat to Manchester United in the Premier League this past weekend.
