Armed man arrested after cops respond to robbery call in Kingston

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Elletson Road Police in the Kingston East Division yesterday seized a .38 Smith and Wesson revolver on the Sir Florizel Boulevard in Kingston.

Reports are that about 5:40 pm, lawmen responded to calls from residents that a man was seen in the area allegedly committing robberies.

On their arrival, one man was seen and he was accosted, searched and the weapon found in his possession.

He was subsequently arrested.

The identity of the man is being withheld pending further investigations.
