#TrackingMatthew: ODPEM recommends return to routine operations
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) has reported that the National Emergency Operations Centre has scaled down activities to Level 1 Activation in light of the reduction in the threat level of Hurricane Matthew.
LEVEL PHASE STAFF
Level 1 Monitoring Phase ODPEM staff
Level 2 Preparedness Phase ODPEM, select first responders
Level 3 Full Response Phase ODPEM, first responders and support agencies
ODPEM also recommended a return to routine operations where possible. It said:
· The public transportation system has resumed a limited service today.
· All shelters will begin scaling down operations today depending on conditions in their respected areas.
· All Government ministries, departments and agencies will reopen at 10:00 am today.
· Businesses are encouraged to follow through on their business continuity plans.
The Ministry of Education will advise when schools will resume.
ODPEM said it will continue to monitor the situation.
