One man shot dead, another injured in Manchester

MANCHESTER, Jamaica – A 31-year-old man was this morning shot dead in Manchester, and his relative injured.

The deceased has been identified as Brian Chambers of a Coleyville address in the parish.

Police reports are that about 2:25 am, Chambers and his relative were at their home in Coleyville, when gunmen kicked open the front door and started shooting.

Both men were reportedly taken to hospital but Chambers was pronounced dead.

Police say that the relative is still in hospital but is in stable condition.

Detectives attached to the Christiana Police Station are investigating the death and injury of the men.
