SRHA is reporting that the baby is also doing well.

In a news release Monday, the SRHA said it sympathises with the family for the unfortunate situation.

A media report stated that the mother gave birth to the baby outside of the Chapelton Community Hospital’s compound on Saturday, after being referred to the May Pen Hospital.

According to the SRHA preliminary investigations conducted immediately after the incident have so far indicated that the matter may not have been handled in accordance with established protocols and standards of the Ministry of Health and the Chapelton Community Hospital.
