US resident among 2 killed by out-of-control truck
HANOVER, Jamaica — Two people were yesterday pronounced dead after they were hit by an out-of-control motor truck along the Sandy Bay main road in Hanover.
Dead are: 33-year-old Christopher Leite of New Hampshire, United States of America and 34-year-old Damion Jones, whose residence the police did not disclose.
Reports from the Lucea Police are that about 7:45 pm, Leite and Jones were standing on the roadway when the driver of a white Isuzu motor truck lost control of the vehicle and crashed into them, causing severe head and body injuries.
They were taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead.
Investigations continue.
