Coopers Pen, Spicy Hill hunt KO final spot
COOPERS PEN, Trelawny — Coopers Pen and Spicy Hill will meet this afternoon at Coopers Pen, starting at 3:00 pm, to decide the second finalist in the Trelawny Football Association’s Victor Wright Knockout competition.
The winners of today’s game will meet Clarks Town in the final after the Western Confederation Super League campaigners beat Harmony FC on Wednesday to secure their place in the final.
Coopers Pen had upset Salt Marsh United on penalty kicks to qualify for the semi-finals, while Spicy Hill edged Duanvale FC 1-0 in their quarter-final game.
On Wednesday, St Derrick Pryce scored a double for Clarks Town, one in each half as they warmed up for the start of the Western Confederation Super League this weekend.
Pryce, who had also scored in the quarter-final game against Duncans United last weekend, netted in the 34th and 77th minutes, while Kevin Brown scored the other in the 62nd minute from the penalty spot.
