DRAX HALL, St Ann — The fifth staging of the Barita Drax Hall Masters Invitational will be held at Drax Hall in St Ann this Sunday with six teams taking part, including defending champions Violet Tourers of Montego Bay.

The teams set to take part in the one-day festival are Portland Masters, Los Perfectos, St Ann Masters, Kingston Commissioners, Harbour View, and Violet Tourers.

St Ann Masters, Harbour View and Los Perfectos will pay in Zone A and Violet Tourers, Portand Masters and Kingston Commissioners in Zone B.

The teams will play each other once in the first round and the top two will advance to the semi-finals, with the winners of each zone playing the runners-up from the next. The winners of the semi-finals will then play for the title.

A number of former national players, including national coach Theodore Whitmore, are expected to take part, as well as Donald Stewart, Norman Foster, Hector Wright and Warren Barrett, along with Byron Earle and Christopher Powell.

Barita is sponsoring the tournament with a commitment of $100,000 along with associate sponsors Clinicare Pharmacy, Smoked Marlin Restaurant, UG’s Cellular, and Selbys Transport.
