St Elizabeth escapee recaptured during search for Dwight Henry
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — A man who escaped from the Santa Cruz lock-up on June 23 last year was recaptured in Spring Head district during intensified operations as police search for Dwight Henry, the man charged with the murders of two American missionaries in April 2016.
Recaptured is 32-year-old Jason Beadle, otherwise called ‘Goat’, of Path district in the parish. Police say he was charged with murder.
Meanwhile, citizens are being asked to be on the lookout for any strangers in their community, and to call the police immediately if they suspect Henry may be seeking refuge amongst them.
Additionally, the public is being reminded that it is an offence to harbour a fugitive, and that they will face the full extent of the law should they be caught assisting Henry or any other escapees.
Police say Henry was taken to hospital for medical assistance, when he escaped custody.
