FEMALE quartet Adahzeh are among several acts slated to perform on Dwight & Dean Musical Enchantment scheduled for the lawns of Stella Maris on Shortwood Road in St Andrew on Sunday, February 19.

The show is headlined by trumpeter Dwight Richards and saxophonist Dean Fraser.

Karissa Palmer, band leader of Adahzeh, said patrons should come for an evening of great entertainment.

“Guests should come out and expect to be entertained. We do positive music for the whole family … mainly reggae, but a fusion of pop and dancehall. We’re Jamaica’s only all-female band, so we’re gonna give them a show they’ve never seen before,” Palmer told the Jamaica Observer.

The band leader said she was elated to share stage with such a group of talented individuals.

“It’s truly an honour and privilege to be alongside these great performers, some of whom are part of reggae’s history,” she said.

Also billed to perform are Bob Andy, Luciano, Tony Rebel, Duane Stephenson, Lukie D, Jodi-Ann Pantry, and Sherita.

Formed in 2013, Adahzeh musical’s influences are diverse, from The Suga Mamas, Beyonce’s all-female band to Maroon 5, Bob Marley, Protoje and Chronixx.

In addition to Palmer (keyboards), the group comprises Chevanse Palmer (bass), Tashana Barnett (drums), and Tara Williamson (lead singer and guitar).

They are known for singles including Critically Low, Island Girl and Good Vibes.
