Romain Virgo, Half Pint, Kevin Downswell thrill at Sigma Run
The Sagicor Sigma Corporate Run served up a thrilling mix of song and dance, with gospel, dancehall and reggae all intertwined in a dynamic entertainment package that held patrons inside Emancipation Park on Sunday, February 19 despite the overcast skies.
Gospel artistes Jermaine Edwards and Kevin Downswell got things off to a belting start as they brought praise and worship inside the park. Patrons sang along on several occasions to tracks such as Downswell’s ‘Stronger’. Songstress Sevana Siren then delivered a stellar performance to shift gears into the Reggae segment, but not before the BEAM Dance Group provided a mesmerizing performance with quality choreography and engaging moves.
Reggae Veteran Half Pint brought ‘Greetings’ before crooning classics such as ‘Winsome’ and ‘Substitute Lover’ before he ‘Level The Vibes’. Nomadz also featured in the lineup and engaged the audience with their unique stylings as they performed a few of their hits including the internationally renowned, ‘Poo Puku Poo’ which had the audience in frenzy. The thrills continued as Romain Virgo took to the stage and wowed with ‘Stay With Me’, ‘Taking You Home’ and a string of other hits to close the show.
Earlier, Songbird and 2017 Sigma Run Patron Tessanne Chin, had set proceedings on the way with her rendition of the National Anthem, moments before the start of the annual charity run.
