Nine people were left homeless after a fire destroyed their home on Whitehall Avenue in Kingston this morning.

2. Gov’t warns correctional officers, inmates involved in illegal recordings will be punished

State minister in the Ministry of National Security, Pearnel Charles Jr today warned that any officer or inmate involved in unauthorised and illegal recordings in the penal system will be punished as he announced measures which the Government intends to take to shut down corruption in the correctional system.

Miss Universe Jamaica 2014 Kaci Fennell yesterday chided popular dancehall selector Oneil ‘Foota Hype’ Thomas over comments he made accusing her of “degrading” herself for her choice of outfit for carnival celebrations in Trinidad and Tobago.

A man was on Sunday shot dead by unknown assailants and a firearm later recovered from his person by the police in Elvin Town, Hanover.

The mother of an Indian engineer who was killed in an apparently racially motivated shooting in an American bar said she asked her son to come back to India if he felt threatened in the United States.
