Canadian woman held with cocaine at NMIA
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police yesterday arrested a Canadian woman at the Norman Manley International Airport after a quantity of cocaine was found in her luggage.
Reports are that about 12:30 pm, the woman arrived at the airport to board a flight destined for Toronto, Canada when she was searched and the powdery substance found concealed in compartments of her luggage.
According to the lawmen, the drug, which weighs 13 pounds, is valued $7.18 million on the street.
The woman’s identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
