Ricardo Suave visits 69 Cool Shade Drive
SINGER Ricardo Suave is upbeat about his latest project, an EP entitled 69 Cool Shade Drive.
“The set is an edgy expression… I actually lived at 69 Cool Shade Drive in Havendale… this was one of the most creative periods in my life, at my address,” Ricardo Suave told the Jamaica Observer yesterday.
Released in January, 69 Cool Shade Drive was self-produced on his Suave Productions imprint.
The track listing comprises Grip and Muscle, Hey Sexy, Good To See You Again, I Care, Love Me and Rock You Body, featuring Spragga Benz.
Suave named his favourites on the set.
“I like Grip and Muscle, as it’s about a man expressing his true feelings. Good To See You Again has a Jackson 5 flavour about it. Actually, I borrowed the Jacksons’ Want You Back rhythm for that one. Rock Your Body, has an island feel about it,” said Suave.
Ricardo Suave (real name Sheldon Williams) is a past student of Clarendon College. He got his musical break in 1996 when he placed second in the Red Label Wine Superstar Competition.
Last year, he released an album entitled Embrace Me.
His other releases include I Who Have Nothing, Human Nature, Once Upon A Time, You Will Never Find, Run Away With Me and Bring It Come.
