Federer to meet Wawrinka for Indian Wells title
INDIAN WELLS, United States (AFP) — Roger Federer defeated Jack Sock 6-1, 7-6 (7/4) on Saturday to reach the ATP Indian Wells Masters final, where he’ll take on fellow Swiss Stan Wawrinka.
Federer, who earned his 18th Grand Slam title at the Australian Open in January, will be vying for a fifth Indian Wells crown, while Wawrinka, who beat Pablo Carreno Busta 6-3, 6-2 in the semi-finals, has made it past the quarter-finals for the first time this year.
