66-y-o relative of chef Brian Lumley reported missing

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police has reported that 66-year-old Jennifer Lumley, who is reportedly the cousin of well known Jamaican chef Brian Lumley, is missing.

The police said the missing Lumley is a United States citizen who was last known to be visiting relatives in at Golding Circle, Kingston 7. She has been missing since Thursday.

Brian Lumley, in an Instagram post last night, bemoaned the sad news, saying Jennifer was his cousin and a published author.

The chef, known for his restaurant 689 before he left for Doha, Qatar in 2015, said he had received news that his cousin had been kidnapped in Montego Bay, St James. In a plea to his followers to share her photo, Lumley said she was a “very sweet human being” who shared his mother’s name.
