TOURISM Minister Edmund Bartlett is scheduled to open the 2017/18 sectoral debate when the House of Representatives resumes today.

Today’s other speakers are: Member of Parliament (MP) for St Andrew East, Julian Robinson and MP for St Ann North West, Dr Dayton Campbell.

The debate continues tomorrow with Dr Horace Chang, minister without portfolio in the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation; Floyd Green, minister of state in the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information; Anthony Hylton, Opposition spokesman on Industry, Investment and Commerce; and Horace Dalley, spokesman on health. The debate continues to Tuesday, May 2, when Bartlett will close.

The sectoral is a public debate in the House of Representatives in which Cabinet ministers and junior ministers are expected to record their performance and their projections since the previous year, while Opposition spokespersons on the various portfolios will seek answers and criticise or support government programmes and policies.
