All is set for a world tour that will introduce the esteemed Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum and its heritage blends to uninitiated palates. The master blender integral to these formulations, Joy Spence, was the woman of the evening last Sunday, at the Sunken Gardens of Hope Botanical Gardens honoured with the unveiling of the — Appleton Estate Joy Anniversary Blend — a rare 25-year-old limited edition rum, which celebrates her 20th anniversary as a master blender.

The intimate event included family, well-wishers, government officials, dignitaries, past and present J Wray & Nephew (JWN) Limited team members and specially invited guests. Guest speakers for the evening’s proceedings included the Minister of Tourism, The Honourable Edmund Bartlett, CD, MP, and the Honourable William McConnell, OJ, CD, JP, former JWN/Lascelles deMercado group managing director.
