Waterhouse, Maverley face off in Bell KO quarter-finals
Red Stripe Premier League relegation-threatened pair of Waterhouse FC and Maverley/Hughenden FC will face each other in the feature game of a double-header in the JN VISA/KSAFA Jackie Bell KO quarter-finals at the Constant Spring Complex.
That game kicks off at 8:30 pm.
Meanwhile, Super League Zone A leaders Cavalier SC and Zone B second-placed team Central Kingston FC will do battle in the first match starting at 6:30 pm.
Of the teams competing today, Waterhouse are the only winners of the Jackie Bell KO title, but that gives Waterhouse little or no edge over as the come up against a hungry Maverley/Hughenden.
A victory for Waterhouse would send them into the semi-finals and on course for a sixth title and a fifth for coach Glendon “Admiral” Bailey.
Waterhouse FC will be counting on Kemar Beckford, Irvino English, Andre McFarlane Rodave Murray, Kymani and Damali Samuels to deliver.
On the other hand, Maverley/Hughenden FC will rest their hopes on Nicholas Scott, Raymond Williamson, Shamar Dyer, George Brown, Wayne Williams and Phillip Peddie.
Central Kingston FC will turn to Renaldo Henry, Arsenio Hamilton, Ewan Murphy, Akeem Robottom, Michael Millington and Tahje Dixon to lead their charge.
For Cavalier, Alex Marshall, Oshane Jenkins, Al Nesbeth, Ryan Miller, Nicholas Hamilton and Swayne Tomas have been entrusted with the task of crafting victory.
