IMF rep to be keynote speaker at Manchester Chamber of Commerce awards
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Dr Constant Lonkeng Ngouana, the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) Resident Representative to Jamaica will deliver the keynote address at the annual Manchester Chamber of Commerce Business Awards function at the Golf View Hotel, here on Saturday, April 8.
The event, which is being held under the theme “Economic Growth and Social Development for Manchester,” is scheduled to begin at 5:00pm.
Organisers say a number of companies/organisations have been nominated to receive awards under the following categories: Customer Service sponsored by Knutsford Express; Entrepreneurship sponsored by VM Wealth Management; Community Impact sponsored by Power Services Company Limited; Family Business sponsored by Jamaica Money Market Brokers; Outstanding Contribution sponsored by Jamaica Standard Products; Business of the Year sponsored by NCB Capital Markets Limited.
In a departure from the traditional dinner format, the event will now “feature theatre style seating and a car show segment complimented by the serving of cocktails. This format is intended to create the atmosphere for greater business networking opportunities,” organisers say.
