DownSound Entertainment, promoters of Reggae Sumfest, has announced the first global, online ticketing platform for the decades-old festival — a collaboration with international ticketing partner Eventbrite.

The company is reporting “a robust response” to the early bird discounts which was launched a week ago.

According to the DownSound boss, Joseph Bogdanovich, purchasing is simple.

“You go online to Eventbrite, find Reggae Sumfest, pick your ticket, and buy it with your bank card and print it out, or download on to your phone…then go to the festival and get scanned right in.”

Bogdanovich noted that this is the kind of convenient ticketing for Sumfest and it has now also taken Sumfest to the international marketplace. Ticket outlets will also be set up shortly throughout Jamaica to provide walk-up sales as well.

Discounts are being offered with a limited number of early bird ticket offerings for Friday and Saturday nights. Weekend passes as well as season passes for all seven events from July 16 through July 22 are also on offer for general admission and VIP-level tickets. The Sumfest organisers state that these offerings are in very limited quantities and only available through to April 30.
