Dear Editor,

Please allow me to address the People’s National Party (PNP) supporters who did not vote in the last general election, including myself. We need to know that we have no moral authority to criticise the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) Government or its supporter.

The JLP supporters did what they had to do, and that was voting for their party, while you and I resisted the poll to punish the PNP. It resulted in this austerity and cruelty on the people. While, if you and I had voted, we would never see the country going backwards and suffering in this manner. Nor would we be complaining.

Yes, it is clear that the PNP is right and the JLP misled their supporters, their spokesperson, and even some undercover JLP-supporting radio talk show hosts who used their programmes to campaign for the JLP.

Well, I personally apologise to the PNP and to my country, and I will make it clear that it doesn’t matter what the PNP does in office after they have won the next general election, I will see to it that I give them my vote. I have never seen the PNP bring this country to its knees; yet, as I can recall, the JLP has been doing so from the 1980s up until in 2010 when it ran with International Monetary Fund money, leaving the country on the brink of collapse, followed closely by the effects of the ‘Dudus scandal’.

Therefore, for the next election my mind is already set, and I will never punish the PNP again, and neither should you.
