#CariftaGames: Jamaica tops medal table with 28 medals
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica enters day two of the 46th CARIFTA Games atop the medal table with 28 medals, after showcasing a powerful performance on Saturday’s opening day.
Jamaica dominated the 1500m races capturing all four events along with the 400m races where they captured three of the four events.
Meanwhile, Roje Stona and Fiona Richards managed to shatter the Under-20 discus record, which helped to propel Jamaica to their customary position as number one with 12 gold, 10 silver and six bronze medals.
Trinidad and Tobago is behind with nine medals — four gold and five bronze — and Bahamas third, with six medals — 2 gold, 3 silver and one bronze.
