MANCHESTER, Jamaica— Police have identified the woman and two men who were fatally shot during an alleged shootout on Caledonia Road in Mandeville Saturday afternoon.

They are Lester Morris, Travis Baker and Sutania Boothe otherwise called “Chun Chun”.

Police said two firearms were seized during the incident.

Police said at 4:00 pm they were alerted to a robbery spree and subsequently intercepted a getaway vehicle near Horseshoe Curve.

A highly-placed police source said the occupants of the intercepted vehicle opened fire on cops who then returned fire. A shootout ensued resulting in a prolonged standoff and running gun battle.

Police said Boothe, Morris and Baker were taken from the intercepted vehicle and rushed to hospital where they were pronounced dead on arrival.

The incident happened in the vicinity of last Saturday’s double murder where nursing student Deenekia Pounall and Sadefa Henry were gunned down in a taxi by a gunman who posed as a passenger.
