68-y-o among 2 men murdered within 24 hours in Kingston 2
ST ANDREW, Jamaica — It was a bloody Easter Sunday and Monday in Kingston 2 after two men were killed in separate incidents in the area.
On Sunday, 25-y-o Youlando Vaccianna of Hillside Crescent was gunned down by a lone gunman about 7:00 pm.
Reports from the Rockfort Police are that Vaccianna was allegedly walking along the roadway when he was approached by the man who pulled a firearm and opened fire hitting him several times. The gunman escaped.
Vaccianna was rushed to hospital after the police were alerted, however, he died while undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, 68-year-old shopkeeper Van Johnson of Barnes Road was shot dead on D’Aguilar Road this morning.
Reports from the Elletson Road Police are that about 7:50 am, lawmen responded to calls from residents who reportedly heard explosions and found Johnson with multiple gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at hospital.
Investigations continue in both matters.
