Wine Lovers
Thursday Food announced the promise and now shares the delivery of Wine With Me, Cecile Levee’s ever-so-comfy wine haven at the Beachcomber Hotel on Norman Manley Blvd in Negril.
It was worth the trip and is as exquisite as it is comfy; the dÃ&Copy;cor doesn’t for one second let you forget you are in a sanctuary dedicated to wine lovers and enthusiasts. As Jamaicans would say, every ‘crevice and corner’ speaks the language of vino.
This naturally came as no surprise as Levee is a design maven, and the space she has carved out truly pulls you in, relaxing you immediately. Exuberant, well-crafted and bursting with delicate accents, light-bodied, bright with a balanced mix of eclectic, contemporary and traditional palettes (yes, quite like describing wines).
“Wine With Me is a passion I just couldn’t get out of my system. Whenever I travel, I always seek out little wine bars and that burning desire to have one more shot at my dream has led me to reopen it. I wanted an intimate space, serving light food and fine wine, of course,” Levee explained.
“I want persons to leave with an experience, an intimate evening, enjoying great food that is simple without a lot of add-ons, quality wines and great conversations. I want persons to actually talk to each other, or if you are alone you can find a book to read in quiet, and at the end of it all you leave feeling like you just treated and spoiled yourself,” Levee added.
