16-y-o killed by teenager
GEORGETOWN, Guyana (CMC) — The police are investigating an incident in which a 16-year-old student was stabbed to death by a 17-year-old late Saturday.
The police report that Brian Charles Yearwood, a student at the Covent Garden Secondary School, was attending a concert at the school when he was attacked an stabbed in the chest by the 17-year-old.
The police say the assailant, who is believed to be a school dropout, ran from the scene as several people at the concert rushed Yearwood to hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The police have since launched a hunt for the 17-year-old.
