Arscott calls on NIC to open ‘back-up gates’ in Clarendon to ease flooding
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Member of Parliament for Clarendon South Western, Noel Arscott is calling on the National Irrigation Commission to urgently open its back-up gates in Clarendon to ease the flooding in the parish.
In a release a short while ago, Arscott said that communities in the vicinity of Duke Street in the Toll Gate area are in need of urgent help.
The police this morning designated several roads in Clarendon impassable due to flooding, including:
*Ballards River main road
*Pennants main road
*Green River main road
*Ettrick Hall
*Commissary main road
*19 Miles main road
