Grade 4 assessment workshops postponed

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Ministry of Education has this morning advised that the Grade Four Assessment workshops planned for today at the Mona Preparatory School, Emmanuel Christian Academy, Pembroke Hall Primary, Micro Practising and the Caenwood Auditorium have been postponed.

The ministry said principals and teachers will be advised of a new date.

The postponement is due to heavy rains last night into this morning, which led to a flash flood warning being issued by the Meteorological Service for 10 parishes, including low-lying and flood-prone areas of St Mary, Portland, St Thomas, Kingston, St Andrew, St Catherine, Clarendon, Manchester, St Elizabeth and Westmoreland.

Hanover, St James, Trelawny, and St Ann have been put on Flash Flood Watch.
