Land slippages, blocked roads reported as rains lash Portland
PORTLAND, Jamaica — As heavy rains lash Portland, roadways have been inundated and land slippages reported across the northern parish.
At Boundbrook in the vicinity of Coronation Bakery and West Palm Avenue in Port Antonio, the roadway has been inundated. At San San, further east, a fallen tree is partially blocking the roadway, allowing for single lane traffic only. Manchioneal and Windsor Forrest areas are also said to be seriously affected.
All schools in the parish are closed.
