Manchester High School win first ISSA Rural T20 competition

Mandeville , Manchester – Manchester High School won their first ISSA Rural Twenty20 cricket final when they defeated St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) by one wicket at Manchester High School here last week.

Steths first made 143-6 in their 20 overs before Manchester High scrambled home at 144-9 with one legal ball remaining. It was the third Under-19 cricket title for Manchester High following the all-rural ISSA/Grace Headley Cup and all-island ISSA Spalding Cup triumphs in 2013.For STETHS, who are 2017 ISSA/Grace Headley Cup champions, it was their second defeat in Under-19 cricket finals this season. They also lost to Papine High in the Spalding Cup.
